In this video I wanted the viewer to get the feeling that they're following along a trail of water, running towards its source. For this video, I captured several images of puddles, streams, and shots of Lake Michigan, going from little to big.

Rough Cut Sketch #3: Water
Production Strategy
1. I want to explore the areas around the Milwaukee River more. I want to find its nooks and crannies and "secret" spots. I want to especially explore its bridges.
2. I once again would like to focus a lot on capturing lines in images to give the feeling of movement but this time using more drastic measures of space. Like images of lines from a wide shot and then close up shots of lines. I also want to try to take pictures that make you want to see the rest of the sky.
3. I want to try and focus on finding distinct exciting sounds. Last time most of my sounds were all steady, muffled, background sound. I want to get my mic close to the source.

Ten Questions
1. About how many different kinds of birds are in this area at the start of spring?
2. Are there any more small parks in the area I haven't found yet?
3. Are there any cool graffiti spots?
4. Where can I find the most interesting foreground sounds?
5. How many different areas can I find that are old and hardly touched (ex: warehouses, statues, fences, etc...)
6. Are there any more bridges over the Milwaukee River that I haven't discovered yet?
7. Where can I find the best views of the sky?
8. Where can I get close to the Milwaukee River, as in the water physically?
9. Can I find images of static and moving areas that can blend in fluidly together?
10.

Drift Assessment #4
My favorite place that I discovered was the bridge over the Milwaukee River by the park off of Warren Ave. I did not know that that small park existed and had never noticed that particular bridge before. I thought the bridge itself was beautiful. It had a rustic red color and when you stood on it you could see so many wonderful sights. You could see old warehouses, new condos, old houses, the Milwaukee River and other bridges over it.
Drift Assessment #3
I was surprised at how many super cool textured fences I found while working on my drift 02. Almost every house had a unique fence in front of it. The funny thing was, none of these fences had any real purpose, they were mostly just there for show even though they were really old. I thought that was very interesting. I never took so much notice to them before while walking.
Something unexpected about my own feelings personally was how much I really enjoyed going out and taking pictures. I was really putting it off dreading it thinking it was gonna be hard and irritating, but I actually found it very enjoyable. It was relaxing walking around and also cool to take pictures that I knew at least a few people were actually going to see and evaluate. That made it feel a little rewarding.

Drift Assessment #2
When I was walking around I found a flock of small birds flying around this big beautiful house. It was very peaceful just watching them fly around and respond to every one of my movements.
Another interesting situation was when I walked down Water Street to record sounds, most of the people were drunk walking around, talking loudly and listening to loud, boisterous music, and I was very relaxed and sober, so I felt out of place, but In a good way. It was an interesting combination. It really made me think about the effects of alcohol and how dumb it makes people and made me think how glad I was that I wasn’t embarrassing myself like that.

Drift Assessment #1
When I was recording sound for my first drift, I found it very difficult at first to go and find sounds that weren’t disturbed by the sound of traffic. In the city, cars are everywhere and they add a lot of noise pollution.
Also, when I was recording my sounds, I found it difficult to find interesting foreground sounds. I mostly only recorded background sounds, such as rattling vents. It was hard to find unique, exciting sounds that would be very interesting to listen to.
